My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy was found abandoned at a gas station was and transferred to our rescue due to her imminent delivery. Poppy delivered puppies on Jun 27th. Poppy is house broken and walk well on a leash and harness with a person who will correct her reactive behavior (barking and lunging at other animals). She tolerates other small dogs, but is a possessive of her person and very reactive to larger dogs and those she does not know/like. Poppy HATES to be confined! She can climb a baby gate and will tear a gate or crate apart if needed. Poppy is on the smaller side of medium build.

Poppy is a one-person dog! She loves to follow her foster mom wherever she goes. Poppy has been very reactive to children's energy and will be best suited to a single person or household with adults. Poppy does need additional training in order to be her best self.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
