My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Roll was brought in by a community member on November 2, 2024.

Why Roll is the one for you:
This kitten is still learning how to interact with the world! Because of this, she is shy when meeting new people. The way to this kitten's heart is to offer lots of positive interactions and patience while they warm up to you. Yummy treats and gentle, interactive playtime is the way to go! Roll will need to be kept in a small, quiet room as she discovers her new home and be allowed to go at her own pace. Roll is looking for a home without the hustle and bustle of children or dogs. She'll also need to go home with one of her littermates, or to a home with an established social cat to help her adjust. Just think of the special bond you'll share because you helped this kitten come out of her shell!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for adoption!

Shy/Fearful Cat:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
