My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Missy is a petite pocket husky weighing 40lbs at 7 years young! She is a clever and affectionate girl and loves to rub her fluffy body against you for scratches and roll around like a tiny wolf pup for love!

Other times she is a true husky -- independent yet well-mannered as an adult dog despite looking like a forever puppy! During the day, she settles in her crate or entertains herself with playful foster siblings. She still loves to wrestle with a buddy and gets along nicely with different types of dogs.

She is a quick study! This smart girl walks nicely on a leash and is about medium energy. Because she is confident, friendly, and social with dogs and people, could be a fun companion out in the world for coffee, errands, hikes, cuddles, and more!

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
