I adopted Cass in July of 2024, approximately 4 months ago. When he arrived home, he was scared of EVERYTHING. He has come a long way and learned a lot in home.
I am rehoming him because he and my other male dog must be separated 100% of the time due to my other male dog’s aggression towards him, and I am afraid for his safety long-term.
Cass has been great with every other dog he’s met. He prefers women over men, and bonds very closely with his chosen person. He is still very fearful of children but has never been aggressive toward them. Cass knows the following behaviors/commands:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay/Place
- Wait
- Leave it
- Fetch
- Shake
- Beg
- Loose leash walking
- Heel
- Crate-trained (no accidents in crate)
He does have occasional accidents in house, primarily marking due to anxiety, but he will wear belly bands happily.
Cass is a high energy dog but has a good off switch. He loves to play, loves to train, and LOVES to snuggle. He’s a Velcro dog through and through!
