My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.

Gordo is a lovable and affectionate kitty who will quickly steal your heart with his sweet nature. He adores attention and is happiest when he’s being petted or snuggling, often leaning in for more when the love is flowing. Gordo is very playful and would absolutely thrive with another friendly cat to wrestle and cuddle with—he’s got a lot of energy and loves companionship!

While he’s a sweetheart, Gordo is also sensitive and can become overstimulated at times, which he might express with a playful (but firm) nip. His ideal adopter will be someone patient and attentive, ready to learn his signals to help him stay comfortable. He can be a bit vocal when you try to leave him, as he doesn’t like being alone, and has clear boundaries with touches on his feet and belly.

If you’re seeking a lively, loving companion who will bring joy and affection to your home, Gordo could be the perfect match—especially if you have another cat friend for him to bond with! Be sure to watch the adorable head butt video in his bio!

Gordo's estimated DOB is 10/17/23. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on FVRCP and rabies vaccines, tested negative for FIV & FeLV, and fecal negative. Apply to adopt Gordo at https://adoptarpo.org/adoption-application/
