Duchess is a 7 month old Cocker Spaniel mix ready to find the Royal Family she’s been waiting for! Duchess was rescued from the shelter parking lot. Seriously. We were at the shelter saving some other dogs and someone approached us in the parking lot asking us to take a puppy they no longer wanted, and that’s how Duchess entered our lives! Duchess strutted into her rescuer’s arms and made herself comfortable from minute one, once we won her over with some treats and TLC. She weighs 15 pounds and we expect her to max out at 20 pounds when she reaches her adult weight. Ready for a royal welcome every time you come home? Come on down and meet your new Duchess!
Duchess is a playful and happy-go-lucky puppy who is ready to take the world by storm! She loves her toys and delights herself in spreading all the plushies out every morning as she surveys which one to play with for the day. She is a total puppy and is go go go until she tires herself out and then she’s flopped on her back for a well-deserved snooze. Duchess loves to follow her foster mom around the house as she goes about her day, but she’s more than happy to keep herself occupied when she needs to. Just give her a toy or a soft blanket and she’s ready for action! She loves making new friends with the neighborhood humans and dogs and it has been a delight to watch her confidence grow as she has settled in and gotten used to her routines. We know that her forever home will be beyond lucky to adopt a girl this adorable and sweet. Her coat is also silky soft and she loves being pet and brushed, so prepare for lots of spa days with this regal lady! Duchess is so excited to start her very own Bridgerton experience with you! The ton awaits your arrival!
Duchess wakes up at 8 AM and gets her morning meal. She gets three short walks during the day and has frequent access to the outside so she can practice her potty skills. During the workday, she hangs out with her foster mom in the office, going into her crate when her mom has to leave. In the evening, she gets another meal and then another walk. She spends the rest of the night cuddling on the couch and soaking up all the snuggles. Bedtime is 10 PM.
Duchess lives with another dog and gets along well with her. She loves humans of all ages. Interested homes should be ready to continue her training and socialization to ensure she is a well-behaved adult pup! We also expect potential homes to discuss their grooming plans. If you’re looking for a royal, look no further than Duchess!
Duchess is only an option for homes who have previously owned a dog. Kids should be over the age of 8.
