Are you looking for a dog to accompany you with household chores or to join you for adventures? Meet Ruby! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! Ruby is a fun excitable dog with a sweet nature. She enjoys going on walks and ultimately just wants to be involved in daily activities like helping you unload the dish washer or do the laundry.

Ruby is looking for a home that understands the bulldog breed. She has experience in a home environment and would love to have a safe space to curl up near her people. Ruby knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come but she will need someone who will be patient with her as she continually learns.

If Ruby sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill out the application below!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
