My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eve may have a mysterious past, but one thing is clear-nothing can slow this girl down! She's a spunky, chatty lady who loves to "talk" with her people, always ready to respond and share her thoughts. Eve's curiosity knows no bounds; she's always on the lookout for her next adventure, exploring every nook and cranny of her environment.

This foodie girl has a special place in her heart for Friskies, and she'll eagerly let you know when it's mealtime! Eve is also a fan of perching herself up high, where she can keep a watchful eye on everything. But beneath her adventurous spirit, Eve is a total lovebug-she adores cheek rubs and can often be found drifting off to sleep as you groom her, which she finds absolutely essential for keeping her coat in tip-top shape.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion who will brighten up your days with her chatty charm, Eve is ready to bring her love and joy into your home!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
