My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ritz, a tiny and sweet kitten with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s as bright as his name! This little one is currently looking for a cozy foster home where he can rest and recover as he’s treated for ringworm and grows strong enough for adoption. Ritz may be small, but her playful personality and gentle purrs will quickly win you over. She’s ready to snuggle up, gain some weight, and grow into the perfect companion. If you’re ready to help this sweet kitten thrive, Ritz would be so grateful for a safe, loving space to call home while she waits for her forever family!
Ritz is looking for a quiet and cozy foster home to grow and recover!

Reason for Foster: Ringworm

Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks

Foster Care Plan: Ritz is being treated for ringworm, a fungal skin infection. This can be contagious, so it is recommended that they be kept in a room away from other pets. Be sure to wash your hands and change clothing after interacting with them. A room without upholstered furniture or carpet is ideal.

This kitten is currently too small to start antifungal medication. Once they reach 1 pound, they will be seen by the medical team to start this medication. In the meantime, they will need regular lime sulfur dips, which will help limit the spread of ringworm spores. We will provide all the supplies you need as well as a medical consultation at pickup so you are prepared to take amazing care of this little one.

Foster to Adopt Program: Ritz is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
