Connie is a 5-year-old Australian Kelpie mix who was rescued as a stray in Arkansas. Despite the challenges she faced on the streets, she’s a sweet and resilient dog with a loving personality. At 5 years old, Connie is in the prime of her life—still full of energy and curiosity, but with the maturity that comes from experience. She’s loyal, intelligent, and eager to please, making her a great companion for an active family or individual. Connie enjoys physical activities like running and hiking, and she’s always up for a good play session. She’s also quite trainable, as Kelpies are known for their smarts and desire to work alongside their humans. Though she can be a little cautious in new situations, she quickly warms up to those she trusts, and once she does, she’ll stick by your side through thick and thin. Connie is looking for a home where she can receive plenty of love, attention, and mental stimulation—she’d do best with owners who are experienced with her breed or who can provide her with the exercise and structure she thrives on. Connie is ready for her forever family and has so much love to give!

This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process. - Please note: The location listed in an animal`s profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL! The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Thursday & Friday, 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.

Potential homes should be willing to fill out an online application, or one in person at our event. We interview new adopters and place pets based on their needs and the suitability of the adoptive home. We do take "reservations" on our animals prior to our events with an approved application/ reference check.

We concentrate our efforts on animals whose temperament best suite the needs of the average "family" adopter. All animals come up to date on medical care, and with 30 days of free pet insurance.
