Callisto is a shy & sweet dilute tortoisehell, estimated to be just around a year old. Sometime this past June, she found her way to a neighborhood’s cat colony, where residents noticed the new kitty and although there was a plan to catch her and ensure she was spayed/or get her spayed, it seems it was too late.

Thankfully, she joined the right cat colony as one of the residents was able to grab her, while another resident was able to provide her a safe space for her to give birth, and just in time too, as she gave birth to her 5 kittens 4 days later!

Although she seemed scared while she was outside, it turns out she’s the complete opposite. As soon as she realized she and her future babies (at the time) were safe and inside, she was more than happy to demand pets and cuddles from her foster who reached out to Proverbs 12:10 seeking assistance on her and her babies’ behalf.

Now that she’s done a great job at raising her babies, and retiring from motherhood, this gorgeous girl would like a chance to forever kitten, where patient humans are going to dote on her, and help her regain that confidence she’s hiding!

Her favorite things are wet food, all sorts of good attention: chin/ear/tail/scratches, pets, and even chest rubs!

She’s willing to get pedicures (aka nail trims) and get carried around by her future humans, and in turn she would like to bake them her air biscuits and provide her excellent services as a conversation partner.

*unsure at this time about other cats/ but she does seem to get excited when she sees the resident cats peeking around the corner - probably the right temperament/personality match

Callisto is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and negative for Feline leukemia and FIV.

We offer a Foster program for those who would like to provide a temporary home to one in need.

All older puppies (6 mos or more) and adults are fully vetted prior to adoption.

Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue is a NO KILL animal rescue dedicated to providing shelter and loving care (which includes food, veterinary care and any other necessity) for animals that were abused, abandoned, owner surrendered, or destined to be euthanized due to over-crowded shelter conditions. Through the use of foster homes, Proverbs will care for these animals until such time as a good, responsible, loving home can be found for all adoptable animals.
