My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Raven was brought in by her previous owner.

Why Raven might be the one for you:
Raven is a beautiful long-haired black cat looking for her new home! Raven needs a little bit of love and patience to warm up, but once you earn her trust she enjoys gentle petting and affection. Did you know that Raven birds are highly intelligent? Our Raven cat thinks that she is also highly interlliigent. She will show you how she can find a treat no mater where you hide it in her house. Raven came to us with some health issues which we have treated but to ensure her continued health, we recommend a prescription diet and yearly vet exams. We think Raven would thrive in a quiet home, without young kids, and as your one and only furry friend. In return, she'll be your highly intelligent, loyal companion! Raven has been living indoors and liked it. Ready to share your home with a beautiful black cat who is highly intelligent? Email us at adoptoceanside@sdhumane.org and ask to meet Raven the cat - not the bird.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
