Looking for a staff favorite? Well you definitely need to meet Peter! Sweet and mild mannered this little guy is quickly winning everyone’s hearts. He’s very affectionate and loves everyone he’s met both human and dog alike. All of these qualities mean he’s the perfect fit for our Pawsitive Change program and he’ll be joining the crew at Tehachapi State prison. We’re pretty sure he’s going to quickly become a favorite there as well!

As wonderful as Peter is he found himself at risk at our County Shelter. Picked up as a stray he lingered for almost a month. No one came for him and no one wanted to adopt him. With so many other dogs residing at the shelter hoping for a home Peter didn’t stand much of a chance of making it out alive. We are giving him the chance he desperately needed and Peter has never looked back!

Peter will spend the next 3 months gaining basic obedience skills while he’s in prison. He’ll be adoption reach when he graduates and we’d love to find him a forever home with another dog to pal around with. He really enjoys playing with his canine buddies and a home with another dog would make him the happiest. This sweet boy is guaranteed to win your heart.
