My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sex: Female

Breed: German Shepherd x

Estimated Date of Birth : 10/04/2023

If adorable, fun and good were all rolled into one you’d get Tina! Oh my goodness this girl is an absolute doll. From her funny little ears to her big smiling face she wins our hearts. She’s a wonderful mix of happy, playful and fun. A stellar dog who just needs a little training to be absolutely perfect. So training is exactly what we’re going to give her. That lack of training is probably the only thing holding her back from the perfect forever home and Pawsitive Change will give her the training she needs. Tina will be headed into our program at Tehachapi State prison and we can’t wait to watch as those new skills she learns changes her life.

Tina like so many others lingered in our shelter system. Young medium and large breed dogs make up the majority of dogs most at risk in public shelters. These dogs often grow up with minimal training and this hinders their ability to find good adopters. So many of them meet the same fate….euthanasia. These are the dogs we’ve been focusing on for our prison training program. We can give them the skills they need to finally find homes.

And Tina is going to win so many hearts. She’s already won ours! During her 3 month stay she’ll gain the basic obedience skills she needs to find her perfect home. We’d love to see her paired up with another fun dog or two as she loves other dogs but really any family would be lucky to call this sweet girl part of their family. We hope you consider making her part of yours. If you are interested in adopting a Marley's Mutts please fill out an application at http://marleysmutts.org/adoptionprocess/
