My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Xena, and I came in with 5 other friends from a rough start but I have a heart full of love just waiting to blossom. I'm a one-year-old kitty who has overcome a tough start in life-I was rescued from a hoarding situation, but I'm now on a journey of transformation, and I can't wait to find my forever home!
I am living with Maxi right now and her playful personality helps to bring me comfort! She is so fun and I really think playing is helping me come out of my shell!
Despite my past, I'm learning to trust and embrace the brighter side of life. I've discovered the joy of cozy blankets, gentle pets, and sunny spots to nap in. I adore soft words and quiet moments, and with a little patience, I'll show you just how loving a shy cat can be.
Xena is currently staying in a fantastic foster home while they wait for our shelter to reopen. Email cats@heartlandanimalshelter.org to set up a time to meet them.
Xena is spayed, up to date on FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, FIV and FeLV negative.
