Named after the Greek princess of the afterlife, Persephone holds herself with a lot of aplomb. Despite her princess behavior when left alone, she is a little lovebug when you give her attention. She will lay her head right onto your hand as you pet her, and burrow her face into the crook of your elbow as you hold her. Then, as soon as she's done making a fool of herself as you give her scratches, she goes back to high-stepping along her enclosure. To meet Persephone in person please stop by the shelter on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday during our normal business hours. Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday doesn't work for you? To meet the animals any day of the week, please fill out an adoption application. Once your application is approved, we would be happy to make an appointment outside our normal business hours/days. The Chippewa County Humane Association is a non-profit animal welfare organization serving Chippewa and the surrounding counties in west-central Wisconsin. We are located on County Highway S just outside of Chippewa Falls.
