My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Periwinkle is a beautiful mother kitty who came to HSOV on August 4, 2024 with her four kittens (Bobble, Rosetta, Silvermist, and Vidia).

Periwinkle was separated from her kittens soon after arrival since they were fully weaned. Periwinkle has obviously not enjoyed an easy life but, thanks to our compassionate HSOV kennel techs, she is learning to accept the kindness of people again.

Periwinkle and her kittens have been spayed/neutered recently .. And all of her kittens except for her little girl Rosetta have been adopted.

Periwinkle was estimated to have been 3-years old when she arrived at HSOV but may be older (since she has several missing teeth). Periwinkle has a gray short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with golden eyes, a gray velvet nose, and long gray whiskers. She was spayed on September 17, 2024. Periwinkle weighed 7 lbs that day.

Rosetta was estimated to have been 8-weeks old when she arrived at HSOV with her mother/siblings. Rosetta has a dark gray-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable kitten face with dark golden eyes, a white muzzle, a pink/black nose, and long white whiskers. She was spayed on October 22, 2024. Rosetta weighed 3.16 lbs that day.

There was a happy reunion on November 9th when Rosetta was placed back with her mother (which is surely good therapy for both of them). Rosetta immediately recognized her mother and began to rub up against Periwinkle’s face .. And it was so touching to see Rosetta cuddled next to her mother later that afternoon.

This pair of kitties would love to find a compassionate experienced individual (or family) who would have the patience and understanding to let them acclimate to their new home .. realizing that Periwinkle may hide for awhile until she trusts that she is in a safe place. She has not had an easy/good life and has likely never had anyone to love her and feel the kindness of her people friends. Periwinkle is merely a frightened little kitty who needs a quiet, loving home.
