Meet Ember—a charming, playful little panther with yellow eyes that glow like embers in a fire! Ember is the life of the litter, full of confidence and curiosity, and he’s been a friendly character from day one. He has a cute little habit of 'talking' when he's hungry, which he’s done since his very first night in his foster home, even while perched on a knee in the bathtub!
Ember is happiest around people, often falling asleep right on your lap. He has a big heart for cuddles and is definitely on his way to being a lap cat. He’s nearly identical to his brother Kindle, and the two love to snuggle together in the hammock, making them an ideal pair if you’re looking for double the fun and sweetness. That said, Ember could pair well with any of his brothers or another playful, friendly feline buddy.
This little guy is social and does well with other cats with a proper introduction. He’s also been a star with dogs and wouldn’t mind a gentle canine friend in his forever home. If you’re looking for a friendly, talkative kitten who will fill your days with warmth, fun, and affection, Ember is ready to light up your life!
Ember is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
