Meet Cinder, aka Cinder Spice—a playful and spunky boy with a personality as fiery as his name! Caught by hand in a wildflower patch after being spotted with his 'Fire Boys' littermates, Cinder’s story began with a bit of an eye infection, but he’s now all better and thriving.
Cinder is a confident yet sensitive kitten who has strong opinions about things like nail trims and being held still, preferring instead to stay on the move—unless it’s nap time, of course. Known for his cute little squeaks and chirps, he loves to 'help' around the house, especially in the kitchen, where he’s become an expert at 'supervising' the dishwasher.
This high-energy explorer is endlessly curious and often finds himself in places he’s not quite supposed to be (like sneaking into the basement or scaling curtains). He LOVES toys and is happiest wrestling with his brothers or darting after his favorite ones. Friendly and affectionate, Cinder would do best in a home with another playful cat friend (or one of his brothers!) to help channel his energy.
With his adventurous spirit and sweet nature, Cinder will add warmth and laughter to any home that can keep up with his playful antics. Adopt Cinder and enjoy all the excitement, purrs, and charm he has to offer!
Cinder is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
