My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet General Mills, the young torbie queen who’s ready for her own happy ending! This gorgeous girl recently wrapped up her duties as a devoted mama to five little ones and is now searching for a forever home where she can finally be the center of attention.

With her captivating blend of tabby stripes and tortie patches, General Mills is as unique as her name! She has a warm, nurturing nature and a gentle spirit that shines through in everything she does. She’s independent yet affectionate, happy to curl up nearby while you go about your day, and always eager for a quiet cuddle or a soft spot to nap.

General Mills is the kind of kitty who will make your house feel like a home. She’s past the kitten chaos stage, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking for a more settled but still playful cat. If you’re ready to give this sweet, soulful mama the love she deserves, come meet General Mills—she’s ready to be your forever friend!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
