Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lily – If you love racing you will love me!
Looking for a companion who's full of life, love, and endless spirit? Meet Lily, the happiest "handi-capable" pup on wheels! Lily proves every day that she’s unstoppable despite her unique needs. Rescued from a caring cat rescue that recognized her potential, Lily’s backstory is a mystery, but what we do know is that she’s ready to fill your life with joy, affection, and endless companionship.
Lily has rear-leg paralysis, so her wheelchair is her ticket to freedom, and she couldn’t love it more. Zooming around with infectious enthusiasm and often comical maneuvers, she takes on the world at full speed. Be ready to watch your feet as she will run over your toes speeding by! This spirited girl is an "ambulance chaser," always eager to explore new sights and sounds. She loves talking to the neighborhood and sharing her joy with the world. Whether it’s welcoming you home with heartwarming excitement or cuddling up for affection, Lily is the definition of a loyal companion who will keep you smiling every day.
When it comes to making human friends, Lily is a social butterfly in training. Her history of abuse is present as she needs time to warm up to people. She’s working on her meet-and-greet manners, as she sometimes gets a bit nibble-y with excitement, but she’s overcoming her fears, building confidence, and making new friends one roll at a time.
Lily loves being outdoors, whether on a walk, in the car, or just hanging out with other dogs. Her adventurous spirit knows no bounds, and she approaches each day with a joyful energy that’s simply contagious. She loves playing fetch and wrestling with her foster siblings, spending each day living her life to the fullest.
Lily’s care needs are unique due to her paralysis. She is incontinent and wears diapers, so she’ll need someone who can give her that extra bit of attention and care. Fortunately, she comes with her very own changing station and wheelchair to make her life in her new home so much easier. Lily is also a pro at using a ramp and can get around on her two front legs with some time. She’ll need a bit of TLC to keep her skin healthy on her back legs.
Despite all of this, Lily doesn’t let anything slow her down. In her mind, she’s just a regular dog with a heart full of happiness, ready to share her love and playful spirit with the world.
If you’re looking for a bright, joyful companion who truly embodies resilience and joy, Lily would love to be your new best friend. She’s ready to live her best life with a family who appreciates her spunk, warmth, and unwavering loyalty.
Lily is spay, vaccinated, and microchipped. Please keep in mind that caring for a paralyzed pup is just as easy as any other pup, just a few extra minutes with a routine is all it takes.
