My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This insecure girl is like a small playful fox! She will do best in a calm quiet adult only home. She has the potential to be a great apartment/condo dog though would also love a fenced backyard to play in. We do not recommend her to go to off-leash parks as she would be a flight risk until she is bonded and has learned a recall. She has shown a higher prey drive potential at the shelter so leash walks may be necessary throughout her life. She will need regular grooming to keep her coat looking sleek and healthy. A private training class is a requirement with her adoption.

Additional adoption info

Adoptable pets are now available through Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS)

Go meet their pets

Effective March 1, 2021 AARCS began a pilot to manage pet adoption services for The City of Calgary. The goal is to reduce the time adoptable pets spend sheltered, for the overall welfare of the animals. AARCS has an extensive fostering network, which increases the opportunity for animals to be cared for in homes, instead of shelters, while they wait for their new family. Animal Services will continue to carry out medical and dental care and spay and neuters for adoptable animals before they are transported to AARCS for adoption or fostering. https://aarcs.ca/adoptable-animals/
