My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonded Pair: Sunny, a 3-year-old Shepherd Lab mix, shares an unbreakable bond with her sister, Sandy, and they must be adopted together. Sunny is happiest with her sister by her side.

Social & Dog-Friendly: Sunny is very social with people and does well around other dogs, though a meet and greet is recommended for compatibility.

Outdoor Adventurer: She loves being outside and exploring, making her a great companion for outdoor activities. Sunny would likely adapt well to either an apartment or a house.

Treat-Motivated: Treats are the way to her heart, and she’ll warm up even faster with a snack or two in hand.

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
