Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**** HALF PRICE ADOPTION UNTIL DEC. 31 **** Judy (spayed female) 3 years - Yorkie mix (11lbs) - stray We are still learning about Judy little-by-little. Not uncommon with small dogs, Judy is showing signs that she wants to be the dominant dog with low growls. If you have other dogs, a meet and greet is a must. Judy loved this morning’s car ride and was a big fan of her string cheese snack.
Adoption Fee: $150
From foster: Judy did really well with our young kids (4 and 6) and seems very obedient. We were vigilant about letting her outside to potty but she did have a couple accidents inside so not fully potty trained. She did great in a kennel overnight with no messes. Very affectionate with my husband, not so much me but was still calm.
She wouldn`t let our other submissive dog near her at all. We attempted multiple times to gradually get them used to each other to at least be able to be in the same room. As soon as she saw our cat she became extremely aggressive to where I had to restrain her from charging at him, 10x worse than with the dog.
I think if all we had was our dog then maybe over time she would have calmed down, but her reaction to our cat was pretty vicious and I couldn`t risk it.
Also, she wouldn`t hardly eat while she was here. I finally got her to eat some wet food one morning. She also was wheezing and showed signs of a collapsed trachea which is what our previous Yorkie had. Using a harness vs a collar can help with the wheezing.
