My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Midnight. I'm quite smart and would enjoy quiet moments, just sitting by your side, my loyalty unwavering. I'm not one for the hustle and bustle, I prefer a mellow environment where I can show off my sweet nature. I'm the kind of dog who will always be there for you, providing a comforting presence in your life. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side and bring a calm, loving energy to your home, then I'm your dog. Let's make some beautiful memories together.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
