Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read this complete bio before getting in touch. To adopt from us you will need to read this then go to our main site at www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the To Adopt page and fill the form in online. Do not use the one from Petfinder please. Thanks.
The adoption fee for this bonded pair is $300.
Buddy, wire, and Holly, shorthaired, came to us when the family had to move to assisted living. These two seniors are sweet, lap loving babies.
We do know know their mix so taking a wild guess.
They are pretty bonded so hoping to place them together when they came in together.
Both are crate trained and very patient and quiet when crated. They are coming along great with their housebreaking. We put them out every couple of hours so no issues.
Hoping to find them a quiet home for them to retire. Both dogs are around 10 to 12 years old. We did not have any past paperwork on them even though we asked.
They are healthy, happy and on no special food or diet. Now that they are on kibble Holly is losing weight nicely. They were a tad overfed in this last home but we have their weight looking good now. Of course they are great moochers and pretty charming dogs.
Prefer an adult home only please.
They do get along with all our dogs. We are not able to test them on cats so lets go with a no there.
No apartments, condos, town homes, or invisible fencing for these dogs or any hunting dogs we adopt in town. Thanks.

More about this rescue
We were Dachshund breeders for 25 years until we started our rescue in 1991. All our dogs are personality guaranteed, we do test drives and take them back if not working out. They are all fixed, up to date on shots and worming, pretrained and we do warn folks about any personality glitches we find so they know what they are adopting from us.
We have adopted or help to adopt over 1,800+ dogs since 1991. We place on average 150+ dogs each year and placed 157 dogs in 2016 alone, a new record for us. But we turn away around 500+ each year so we do what we can to help the pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering all our adoptable pets before placement.
Please read our web site for our adoption contract, waiting list form and adoption policies before getting in touch. We are already answering 500+ emails a day with this rescue. Thank you.
Our dog rescue is located at the director's farm northwest of Spokane. There is no bus service here. Directions are given once an appointment is made in advance and once our pre-adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match dogs to their new families.
