My name is Dixie!

Dixie is a 5 y/o beagle who was surrender to a local shelter. She arrived weighing a chunky 38 pounds! With diet and exercise, she is looking trimmer already.

Dixie has good house manners and never gets into anything that does not belong to the pack. She has been crate trained in the past and waits patiently while food bowls are prepared. She is learning to play chase and wrestle with her foster siblings. She was possessive of toys at first but now enjoys a good game of tug of war!

Dixie can be very aggressive over food. She will need to be fed in a crate and not let out until everyone has finished and the bowls are picked up. She would not work in a home where food is left down for free grazing. No beagle would work in this situation!

Dixie does love attention from her human but is never demanding. She is good
