My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Violet, a gentle soul who's still on her path to recovery. She’s a bit shy and slow to warm up, but her love for treats makes meeting new people a little easier—especially if they're women, whom she naturally prefers. Currently healing from a fractured pelvis, Violet will need 4-6 weeks of crate rest to give her the best chance at a full recovery.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Please email info@bigpawsoftheozarks.org if you have specific questions about an available dog.

3.

Meet the Pet

We set up a meet and greet for your family (including your current pets) to meet the dog.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once we all decid this dog is the right fit, sign the online contract and pay your adoption fee online! Then you've got yourself a dog!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is thorough in order to ensure dogs go to the best possible home. We try and make it as streamlined as possible, and are often able to set up meet and greets with approved applications within 2-4 days. We often get multiple applications for each dog, and choose applicants based off the best possible fit for each dog.

More about this rescue

Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We aim to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in our local community. We specialize in large breed dogs (over 40 pounds) but do get the occasional small paw in rescue too! We work closely with shelters and other rescues in our community to target and save dogs who are at risk of euthanasia or have found themselves falling between the cracks of our animal rescue community.
