Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!
From the foster: 796, affectionately known as Georgie is a sweet, quirky little low rider. George adores his toys, treats, and playing with the resident dogs; regularly wrestling and snuggling with both. A smart little guy, he is potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Georgie is very shy with people at first and takes his cues from the dogs around him. He is a barker, and would do well in a house with other dogs and a doggy door. George’s space needs to be respected by everyone in the home and he needs to be given the time to approach and request attention. He can be reactive with new people and does not like being picked up or approached but does like to follow his person around the house. Georgie has warmed up and when his person is sitting on the couch he will happily launch himself to their space to get belly rubs. Petting sessions are frequently stopped to give him the option to opt into further attention (this looks like stopping petting and holding out hand), he lets you know he wants attention by laying on you or lifting his paw/gently putting his paw on your hand. He is incredibly sweet when given the space to be himself. It has been a joy watching him warm up and become more confident.
His perfect home would have at least one other dog, no children, and would give allow him to approach his new people at his own pace. A yard with tall wooden fence and doggy door is also a necessity as this smart boy knows how to climb metal rungs to escape and does not allow/trust people enough to put a collar or harness on him yet.
