Ellie has so far lived a pretty rough life in a shelter. It was obvious she had never been in a house, on a dog bed or even cuddled before. We've been loving on her so much that she is warming up to the idea of a sweet life! She learned that she can relax on a bed now and trust her humans. She sleeps like a baby all night in her crate without a peep. She is incredible with our young kids (ages 3 and 6) and has had zero accidents since we got her. The only area she needs help with is walking on a leash! We are practicing and know she will improve. She is timid at first but once she knows you are friendly, she wags her tails and rolls over for a belly rub. She seems to be part Pointer and maybe part Heeler but we haven't seen a drive for bunnies or squirrels yet. We had a bunny in the yard but she didn't chase it! She loves to lay quietly in her play pen while I work in the house and has yet to bark. We'll see if that changes once she gets more comfortable but so far, no barking at us or other dogs. She has a great appetite and loves to play in the yard. I don't think she had ever seen snow before! She would do so well with an active family that likes to be outdoors, any age kids and even another pup!
