My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of our favorite features on Taiga is the unique coloring on her front legs: one is orange and one is brown. Her coat coloration is called torbi, a combination of tabby and calico. Taiga also has a lovely personality, being exceptionally friendly and loving. She's a head-butter, biscuit maker, and champion purrer. Taiga has been raised in a foster home with kids, dogs, and cats. This girl is used to it all! To adopt Taiga, apply at ITVrescue.org.

All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
