My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Pea lives up to her name! She is a nearly 4mo heeler mix (the shelter said shepherd mix, but I see heeler). She is shy and unsure initially, but comes around if give some space and time to get used to her surroundings. She is very smart and knows how to use to the dog door. Potty training is a work in progress, but I feel like she could be fully trained in no time at all. Sweet Pea is very submissive, but will stand up to her bratty foster siblings when needed! She should probably have another dog in the home to help her gain some confidence and let her know that she's safe and in a loving home! Also a home with older kids due to her shyness, would be best. (She is being fostered in SE Aurora, but will be at any events the rescue has).

Please bear with us as we process applications. There are lots of people that are wanting to adopt, so it's taking us a bit longer!!

Approve Application

We will need two non-family references to process your application. Please notify your references so they will be available to talk with.

3.
Meet the Pet

You will need to complete an adoption application prior to meeting with the pup.

4.
Pay Fee

$450 for puppies under 1 year $350 for adults over 1 year $150 for seniors

5.
Take the Pet Home

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit dog rescue based in Colorado Springs, CO. Our goal is to rescue dogs from high kill shelters in other states and get them adopted into forever homes all along the Front Range and Pikes Peak Region. We are brand new, established in April 2019, and we are an all volunteer organization. We are always in need of donations, either money, much needed dog items like dog beds, kennels, leashes, etc, and loving foster homes. If you can't provide any of these things, we are always in need of people that can help out at events and transport when the dogs come in. We look forward to hearing from you!!
