My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tangerine, the rare and striking medium-haired red tabby who’s as sweet and gentle as her name suggests. With her soft, golden-orange fur and beautiful tabby stripes, Tangerine’s coat is a soft, luxurious blend of colors that make her stand out as a true gem. Red tabbies are a rare find, and her graceful, medium-length fur only adds to her unique beauty.

Though she’s a little on the shy side, Tangerine has a heart full of sweetness. She may take a little time to warm up, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll curl up beside you, purring contentedly as if to say, "I’m happy you’re here." Her purr is a soothing melody—gentle and steady—that will melt away any worries and remind you just how precious quiet moments of affection can be.

Tangerine loves peaceful, cozy spots where she can quietly observe the world around her. She enjoys a good sunbath by the window or curling up in a soft blanket for an afternoon nap. Though she’s not one for loud noises or big crowds, Tangerine is a gentle soul who loves the company of her favorite humans, especially when they offer a little attention in a calm, patient way.

While she’s still a bit shy, Tangerine is a loving companion who will reward you with her gentle presence, quiet purrs, and moments of sweet connection. With her rare beauty, calm demeanor, and affectionate nature, she’s the perfect addition to a home that appreciates a soft-spoken, loving friend.

Tangerine and eleven other kittens came from a home where the owner had passed away, and the family had taken over the home and put all the cats outside and did not care for them.   Along with the dog and cats, she has also been raised up with young children and does great with them.

We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adotpion have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip resgistration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in.
