My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details below

Meet Max!

Max is a spunky 13 year old Frenchie looking for a human companion and a place to live out his life. He is super loyal to his person and deserves someone who will love him just as fiercely!

He arrived at the rescue quite a mess. He was missing fur, and the fur he did have was stained and smelled of urine that he had been left to lay in. This must have been quite upsetting to him as he is fully potty trained and will cry out to be taken outside.

Max has been such a good boy in the bath and enjoys the rubdown. Max had surgery to remove both testicular and mammary tumors, and, at that time, his teeth were cleaned. He is on the mend and ready to move on!

He would do best with someone who will be home with him most of the time. He is a bit anxious when left unattended and should be crated at night or when home alone. Max loves bones and stuffies and will need a lot! He is so cute with his toys and most always picks one up on his way outside and will also have a stash in his bed. He enjoys brief games of fetch, tug of war and short walks. He is always ready for belly rubs or a neck massage!

Although Max is fully potty trained, he does leak a bit so wears a wrap with suspenders. It is the cutest thing! Additionally, he may need continued medication but takes it without any trouble if it is added to his wet food. He currently lives with other small dogs and doesn’t mind them, but doesn’t really engage with them either. His foster home does not have cats or children, but I feel he would be ok as long as they respected his space. If you would like to meet our silly boy, please fill out the application below!

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our application:

Additional adoption info

The initial phase of our adoption protocol involves prospective adopters completing an adoption application.

Following submission, our administrative team conducts a thorough review, and if approved, the application is then forwarded to the animal's foster.

Subsequently, a phone interview is scheduled to address follow-up queries, provide additional information about the pet, and acquaint the adopter with our organization. If the interview is successful, arrangements are made for a meet and greet, along with a home visit. For pets adopted out of state, the meet and greet and home visit are conducted virtually.

The final steps in our adoption process include verification of identification, finalization of the adoption contract, and payment of the adoption fee.
