My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gertie is your pint sized, action packed, love machine! She wants nothing more than to be your companion in life and adventure. This bundle of joy weighs just over 20 lbs, but she is confident enough to run with the big dogs. Gertie is a snuggly love bug who wants pets and belly rubs while watching the Chiefs and Holidays specials.

Gertie is kennel trained, and house trained (with reminders). She walks off leash with her foster mom to take care of the chickens and has learned to walk on leash for trips into the world. Gertie is a great little dog who is ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family!

Gertie will come with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.

More about this rescue

Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving fosters homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.
