Dog's Name: Baby Cubby (CUB1124ALAMD)
Estimated Breed: shep mix
Approximate Age: 7 weeks
Approximate Weight: 5 LBS
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Cubby! This little ball of cuteness was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a young puppy, but fortunately Cubby has landed a nice foster home while he waits for his forever home. Could that be with you? Cubby is your typical friendly and sweet puppy. He does amazing with dogs, big and small. He is affectionate, curious and irresistible. He also has the most adorable stub of a tail. At Cubby's young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization too. Cubby will be a great addition to an active home. Fill out an application today and meet Cubby!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
