Baloo is a large love bug that enjoys cruising the world right next to the people that he loves. Whether that is going for long walks, sitting on the lawn, or walking around the yard or home. Baloo loves to say hello to people that he meets, and does so gently. Baloo is actively working on his skills to make him stand out from the rest of the crowd, and he is excited to tell you all about it. You can drop by and say hello to Baloo Tuesday through Sunday between 10 am and 4:30 pm - no appointment necessary! More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
