Meet Jesse! This beautiful Shepherd mix is still at the shelter! Jesse loves to go out for walks, play in the yard, and chase the ball! Jesse is still a puppy! Jesse is learning how to properly meet people and is working on his basic obedience. Jesse is a big food fan so if you have treats you will have his full undivided attention! More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
