TELLER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:    Teller         Best Guess for Breed: Terrier/Chihuahua mix

Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of October 2024         Sex: Male

Estimated Weight: 16 lbs as of 10/29/24; he is still growing

Gets Along With: other dogs! We have also tested Teller with some of the cats at the shelter and he did seem interested in chasing the cats, but seemed to want to play. We would be cautious about placing Teller in a home with a cat, unless the cat had lived with dogs before. Teller has not been seen with kids but we can test.

Currently Living at:   DC area foster, Teller needs a forever home!

Teller is Looking For:    His forever home. This cutie is a young dog and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet. He's eager to have his own humans for romps in parks and all the adventures they can dream up, and make lots of people and pup pals along the way. Exploring all the toys to see which he likes best sounds great too, And he's excited to go to dog school so he can show how super smart he is! And then at the end of a fun day together - snuggles, please. With you.

Most of all, he wants to be a well-loved dog for all his days. In exchange he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Does that sound like a good deal to you?

What My Foster Says About Me:

Teller is a DARLING! He was immediately confident, wiggly and kissy coming off the transport. He has been affectionate with me and my husband, He has been bounding around after my dog and then trying out all the toys he can find. He’s got a ton of puppy energy and wants to PLAY PLAY PLAY!

He‘s working on his house training and trying to figure out what this leash walking is all about.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
