My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Did someone say sweetest dog of all time? If so, they must referring to Gertie. Saved from a shelter that was overcrowded and needing to euthanize for space, Gertie is just the sweetest senior you ever did meet. She is about 50lbs, and gets along great with other dogs and cats. She is HW-, and we will be evaluating her medical needs. She is up to date on vaccines. Please apply and let this lady have the love and comfy beds she so deserves.

More about this rescue

Neshama Rescue is an all volunteer independent, 501(c)(3) animal welfare and education organization. Our mission is to promote the rescue and adoption of companion animals, with a focus on senior and special needs pets. We believe every soul has intrinsic value and we seek to help communities see that value to create a kinder world. Our goals are to rescue animals from shelters, place them in loving foster homes, and adopt them out to forever homes, as well as strengthen our communities’ education, laws and regulations regarding animal overpopulation and care.
