Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Cottage Grove, MN
Hi! My name's Woody! Howdy, howdy howdy!
Okay, so I'm not quite like the rootinest tootinest cowboy from Toy Story, but I have some similarities! I was found left outside and took quite some work to catch me and my buddy Buzz (Lightyear). That's because once I see a human - I freeze! My foster family sometimes needs to sneak up behind me and give a me a gentle nudge, just to get me unfrozen again. And my foster mom is convinced I come alive and party after everyone goes to bed at night if she leaves my kennel open.
I am a little anxious around people, but never aggressive or snappy. I think I really like my foster dog brother and sister. They're showing me the ropes and that my foster people aren't scary. I love playing tag with the other dogs in the backyard and king of the hill climbing up the woodpile. We even 'talk' to the neighbor dog through the fence when she comes out to play in her yard too. So long as there are no humans and to have to freeze!
But I do freeze when they want me to go on out of the front door with a leash, but if foster sister goes, I can unfreeze for a little ways down the sidewalk. She will race me back home when I won't go any farther. (Foster mom thinks we race home because I don't want to get forgotten and lost outside again.)
I like treats - A LOT - but sometimes if you try to hand them to me, I'm pretty sure you're trying to trick me I have to freeze after a sniff! But I like to lay behind the kitchen table when foster mom is cooking. I can watch what she's doing and sometimes bits happen to roll over to where I am frozen and I grab them quick when she looks away. (I'm beginning to think she's a really messy cook or maybe she's trying to butter me up so I come in faster from outside when she calls us. But it's ssssooooooo much fun in the backyard without playing freeze from the humans!)
I go in my kennel all on my own if I need a break or when the people are leaving for a while. I like to keep my kennel clean and don't make a fuss when it's time to lay down. I like to sleep on the couch at night - but after we didn't clean up the evidence after our last late night party, the foster parents say I have to sleep in my kennel in their room.
You can't tell so good when I'm frozen, but I do like pets and kisses and even will flop over for a belly rub! My foster family tells me I'm an adorable fluffy boy and someone who has lots of patience to win my trust so I don't freeze will be my perfect match. Do you like fluffy, freeze-tag Woody dogs?

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
