Meet Maverick! Maverick is a five-year-old Maltese mix looking for a new home. We are courtesy listing him for his family, who feels they no longer have time for him and his fur-sibling and are looking to re-home them. We are hoping to help Maverick and his fur-sister find new homes before they have to go to the shelter. They do not need to be adopted together, but if you are looking for a "big Mac, small fry" type of duo, check out Maverick's big sister, Kevin (yes, it's a girl!). Now some more about Maverick! Maverick is clearly adorable, but he's also a great dog. His family says he is "very loving and will lay and hang out with you all day". Maverick is house-trained, leash-trained, and sleeps in a crate/kennel at night. He rides well in the car and already knows some basic commands. He loves toys and play-wrestling with his buddy Kevin. He could potentially do well with your dog at home too, and would love to meet them. Honestly, Maverick sounds like pretty much the perfect little dog! Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.
