Emma!

This sweet girl was found abandoned in a Houston park, covered in fleas. She sat resting by the picnic area and waited patiently for any attention (and food/water) she could get. With no chip or tags, we brought her home to get cleaned up and checked out by a vet. She is heartworm negative and has since been given all vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped.

Emma is currently staying with us in a sectioned off area (our cat is tolerant but not a fan) while we work to find the perfect family for her. She is every bit as sweet and playful as her name suggests! Every size and type of human is a new best friend to play and snuggle with. Now that she has recovered from her spay surgery we will begin basic training to help her socialize with other animals and respond to basic commands -- she has been relatively good with "sit" and "leave it" for having people like us who have never owned a dog before. Emma sleeps through the night in her crate and whimpers to signal time for a potty walk.
