New to DRM, stay tuned for more info!!
Hi! I’m Graham (also known as Mikey) When I got to my foster home I didn’t know my name, Mikey, at all so my foster mom tried a few different ones and I responded to Graham so that’s what they’ve been calling me.
I am a sweet, loving, and sometimes very excited 1 year old. My foster mom says I am very smart! I’m learning lots of new things very quickly, and my manors are getting better everyday. I can sit and shake really well. I’m working on “come”, and I will ”stop“ when going for a walk with a gentle reminder sometimes. I can “wait” for some things, but I love food so waiting for that is a work in progress. I’m also just starting to learn lay down. I will go in my kennel for a treat, but I’m very calm and don’t argue about staying in it. I’m house trained and keep a clean kennel.
I love playing in the fenced in back yard. I’m very quick to try to sneak out of the door of the house or gate in the yard right now. I love to chase bunnies and squirrels. I have chased the resident chickens when they were in my part of the backyard but I usually ignore them when they stay in their pen except when my foster family opens their gate to go in to feed them, then I like to try to go in also.
I do listen to “no”, “back”, “down” most of the time, but when my hunt instinct kicks in I don’t seem to hear much.
My foster family has two cats. One is scared of me and runs every time he sees me so I like to chase him. The other one doesn’t runs away from me so when my foster mom tells me to leave her alone, I listen. I seem to be very friendly with other dogs, but I haven’t gotten a chance to play with any yet to know how I’ll do.
I LOVE my people. I always want to sit on the couch by them and I love to lay on their laps where I often curl up to take a nap. I’m doing good with kids, but when I’m exited I can knock the little ones over. I also love to give kisses and sometimes the little ones don’t like me getting so close to their faces.
I love to chew and have gotten great at pulling the fluff out of toys, even the ones made for heavy chewers, but those are my favorite kinds of toys.
I have a lot of love and loyalty to give. Do you have a big heart (and big bed) to share with me??
