My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This little sweetie was rescued by a family in Brighton, ergo the name! She had been born under their deck and mom apparently forgot her when she moved her other kits.  After waiting to make sure mom was not returning for her they did manage to get her out from under the deck and brought her inside.  She was scared but not aggressive.  Since their resident cat was not happy about this youngster they contacted us to see if we could take her.  Her foster mom happened to be in the area and went to meet the baby and could not say no.  This girl has the most beautiful markings, and is considered to be a classic tabby with suttle swirls of dark gray mixed with light cream.  So little Brighton joined a group of other kittens a bit older, but fit right in.  She became one of the gang and soon began to come out of her shell.  Still a bit shy at first she warms up quickly and as soon as you pick her up that purr motor starts revving!  She loves to sleep with her foster mom and the others and playtime is always a rough and tumble party. She would be a great addition to a loving and somewhat active family with pets.  Like most kittens they do like to have other playmates.  She had limited exposure to a dog with no adverse reaction.  Most felines can acclimate to canines with proper introduction, generally because they truely believe the saying, "cats rule and dogs drool"! If you are ready for this type of adventure please be sure to have your application submitted and approved before meeting her because you will fall in love with her sweet nature.

All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer.

You can meet some of our adorable cats and kittens during store hours at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Rd. in Commerce Township.

If you are interested in adopting one or more of our lovable cats, please complete an Adoption Application form which can be found on our website at   www.locrami.com under Forms/Applications.

More about this rescue

We branched off of another rescue group in Oct of 2015, in order to concentrate solely on cats and kittens. We are a 501c3 foster-based group of dedicated volunteers, and our mission is finding homes for stray, abandoned, no longer wanted cats and kittens. We are a foster-based Rescue, meaning we have no brick and mortar facility. All our cats are cared for by foster caregivers in loving homes. We give medical help to sick and injured cats as needed. Donations, grants, and adoption fees are our sole means of income for our group. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed.
