My wife and I are looking to rehome our dog Freya. We are entering the process of adopting a foster child and unfortunately Freya wot work in this situation. Freya is unbelievably sweet & playful with us & most people/dogs she meets out in the world. We adopted her from Chicago Canine Rescue in 2019 when she was roughly 9 months old. She's 5 going on 6.
Biggest issue: She is territorial in our condo. She has never bit anyone but she will bark & "dolphin punch" (aggressive nose nudges) guests who come over. She has learned to relax with several people who are very good & patient with dogs.
She has been in a few dog fights and can sometimes be dominant with new dogs. She is currently on Gabapentin, Fluoxetine & Clonidine, though with the right environment and exercise, she may not need all of them. (e.g. Yard, other dogs, etc)
Good stuff: She's trained in fetch, sit/laydown, stay leave it & loves to learn tricks. Ok to be left alone for several hours. And she loves to cuddle.
