Fiona entered Coachella Valley Shelter as a stray and wasn't claimed. After two months of waiting to be adopted, Fiona was scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her in time on November 13th!
Fiona is about 7 years old and weighs 72.5 lbs. She is an easy-going dog that gets along well with both humans and dogs, rides well in the car, and loves to snuggle and be near her person. She knows SIT and STAY!
Fiona went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what she is like in a home. She earned a rave review from her Fling family for being an awesome houseguest and all-around good girl!
Here is their report:
"Fiona is a really a great dog, and we could go on and on about her. Here are some of the highlights:
* House-trained.
* Good leash manners and stays out of others' yards when out on walks.
* Gets very excited at meal time and is a good eater. She recently started "singing" at meal time.
* Not a door dasher.
* Pretty quiet. Only barked once while here (at the cat).
* Gets some fun playful puppy bursts of energy but for the most part, she's pretty mellow.
* Let's us take away her food and toys with no issue.
* Loves soft treats like Pupperoni. Whole Hearted beef sticks, and cheese.
* Doesn't beg for anything but belly rubs!
* Healthy and not currently taking any meds!
* Great in the car. Can get in and out of the backseat with no issue. Settles right in and enjoys the ride.
* Would be better in a cat free home.
* Sweet with every person we have met and accepts all of the pets and belly rubs.
* Seems good with other dogs (she is in a playgroup at FFF). Doesn't react unless another reacts first. Never shows aggression or barks.
* Has great manners when out at shops and restaurants.
* Sleeps through the night.
Fiona is going to make her future family very happy!"
Fiona is back on-site and ready for her forever home! Might it be with you?
To meet this special girl, please stop by between 10 AM and 3 PM. We hope to see you soon!
