Today I: I met a new friend and sat like a perfect gentleman while she put on my collar and harness. I eagerly jumped into the car, and we headed to Almaden Lake Park for a long walk. There was so much to see—dogs and kids playing, people jogging, and bikes zipping by. I couldn’t help but feel curious whenever other dogs or people passed by. Along the way, I made sure to sniff every patch of grass, discovering all kinds of new scents. Although I was a little shy at first, spending time with my new friend during the walk helped me feel more comfortable. Before long, I was asking for pets and even jumping up to get her attention.
Three Words to Describe Me are: Affectionate, Curious, Energetic Notes from My Walker: Gambit is a sweet and affectionate dog, even though he was a bit shy when we first met. He hopped into my car effortlessly and seemed to enjoy the ride and prefer the windows closed. Initially, he pulled on the leash quite a bit, but after about 20 minutes, he settled into a comfortable pace. During our walk, Gambit would occasionally jump up at me or into the air, clearly expressing his excitement and happiness. He’s naturally curious about other dogs and people, often wanting to approach them for a friendly greeting. After the walk, he was so tired that he slept soundly in the car all the way back.
