Hello! I’m Burton, a dazzling dapple bully with beautiful blue eyes and a vibrant personality. I was found wandering as a stray, but now I’m ready to find my forever home where I can share all my love. I’ve had some wonderful times with my finder’s kids and their dogs, and I must say, I thrive in a busy, playful environment! Kids and dogs are my buddies, and we have a blast together. However, I’m not a fan of feline friends, so no cats, please! I know my basic commands, and I’m eager to learn more. I’m a playful guy who loves to romp around and have fun, but I also enjoy my snuggle time! One thing to note is that I can be a little protective of my food when other dogs are around, so I would do best in a home where I can be fed separately during meal times. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy, playfulness, and lots of love into your life, look no further! I would love to be a part of your family! Our adoption fee includes the initial rabies vaccination, deworming, the initial distemper combo vaccination (for dogs, this vaccination includes parvo) and having the pet spayed/neutered and a microchip. The fee for dogs is $80 and for cats is $65. There are times that we are running specials for adoptions, if you have any questions feel free to call. When adopting you will have to provide a government issued ID and be able to sign an adoption agreement.

Our shelter is open for visitors M-F 12-5 and Sat 11-2.

Rabies vaccinations are also available during regular business hours for only $10.

Our rabies vaccination clinic is on the second Tuesday of the month from 6-7 pm and is $5 cash only.

Iredell County Animal Services provides temporary shelter for stray and unwanted animals. These animals may become available for adoption if they meet our wellness and behavior requirements. Iredell County Animal Services works with approved rescue groups to place as many pets as possible into loving homes. We have lots of pets available for adoption.
