My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apple (born around October of 2022) is an active, social, and playful tan female mixed breed. She was picked up as a stray and brought to the community shelter before being transferred to Safe Haven. She loves both humans and other dogs and enjoys going for walks around the sanctuary property and searching for treats in our dog park ball pit. Apple is looking for an active forever family who enjoys her affection and boisterous energy and will be patient as she learns the ropes of living in a home.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.
